When I view comics on my home computers, I normally access them through a shared drive (NAS). I'd like to be able to do the same with Droid Comic Viewer, with the net result being saving some SD card space and being able to select which comics to view/download either on my home wifi or over the internet.
Similar Android apps that do this with music files are Subsonic and Audiogalaxy, although they both require the use of a "helper" app running on the machine with access to the music files.
This feature would be awesome. I use Estrongs file explorer to view other files stored on my PC, but it can't recognize cbr files. If DCV could open cbr/cbz files over the network it would be perfect!
Just chiming in with another request for this. Using Filemanager HD on a Motorola Xoom, can stream videos and music from my NAS with Rockplayer without having to download the files but ACV doesn't associate itself with CBR files so Filemanager doesn't know what app to open them with. Of course the app works perfectly if the files are on the SD card. Good to know you're working on it! Keep up the excellent work!
I would love this feature! A friend and me were looking around for a work around and so far with out any luck. Good to hear it's on the roadmap! Thanks for the great work already done!
