At some time in the past I set the brightness to zero. I can't recall exactly how, as it's been a while and I can't see the screen to duplicate. As soon as I open the application the screen is black. I can't see the settings even if I hit the settings button. When I go home, the home screen is also black. I have to force this screen to refresh to get the brightness back to the device's current setting (usually by hitting the setting button). I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the application with no luck. I have also updated to the latest version since the problem started, but it brought the setting with it. While the app is running if I hold the power button down long enough for the 'Device Options' menu to appear the first page of the comic becomes visible in the background, albeit gray as like in every application when this menu is accessed.
