Droid Comic Viewer on aPad/iRobot
  • zissouzissou June 2010
The aPad/iRobot manufacturer has made some customizations to the Android OS that are incompatible with Droid Comic Viewer, and other Android apps that deal with rotation.

While we find the best way to fix this, here's a custom version that allows Droid Comic Viewer to run on aPad/iRobot.

    If you haven't installed a Non-Market app before, here's a tutorial:

Unfortunately we don't have an aPad to test these modifications. If you want to help us, please leave a message below.

In particular, we would need to know how to identify the aPad device through the Build class in order to disable the features that are incompatible for aPad.

I just downloaded it and tried it out. Works beautifully. I just got my aPad today and have been looking to get a comic reader working
Found this link from slatedroid and decided to give it a go. There's a little lag, but nothing surprising for an android program. No problems at all.

If you have an aPad/iRobot and want to help us fix this problem in the next Droid Comic Viewer update, please send us a report through Bug Reporter so we can determine how to identify the aPad device.

We'll focus on the aPad after the next version is released. There's evident interest for better aPad support.
