Squashing the "Unable to load image" bug once and for all.

I have 188MB free according to Advanced Task Killer, and yet I still get the "unable to load image" reliably on a few CBZ files.

I'm a software engineer by profession (13 years+) and I do some personal Android work. Can I contribute by attempting to fix this bug? Or do you have a closed developer environment?

    Thanks for your offer dangerdad!

Even if you have 188MB, Android apps can only use up to 16-24MB depending of the device, a limit that is not very hard to reach when you're dealing with decompression and image processing at the same time. That said, I'm sure than our current code can be greatly improved

Droid Comic Viewer is closed-source, but that doesn't mean that we don't want other developers to work on it. Sends us an email to hello@robotmedia.net quoting this conversation and we'll take it from there.

a little off topic, but is there any way to increase this memory apps can use?

    Not that I know of.
