I usually read comics in bed before going to sleep, and my screen used to dim after 2min on the same page. That way I knew it was time to put it away before I fell asleep :)
Sometimes I fall asleep while reading, so it would be real nice to know my phone locks itself after a short while so I don't accidentally call people or something.

When the layout changes from portrait to landscape (or vice-versa), the comic is closed and the 'Open Recent' menu is displayed. There is no problem loading the comic in either Landscape or Portrait, it is only when the display tries to automatically adjust that it closes the loaded comic and present the 'Recent' menu.

Download ACV 1.4.1 beta

Major changes

* Ads
* Recently opened files in Home and Open
* Fancier homescreen

Minor changes

* Removed "Load last comic" setting
* Removed "ACV format" settings
* Removed various Support and About options and combined the remaining ones into About
* Text revisions (ie: "Google Play" instead of "Android Market")

You will have to uninstall your current version of ACV before installing this beta. If you haven't installed non-Market apps before, here's a handy tutorial.

Once you have finished with the beta simply uninstall it and download the latest ACV version from Google Play or SlideMe.

In the past few weeks we took two key measures to will drastically change ACV for the better.

First, we published the ACV's source code on github and invited developers to actively participate in ACV's future.

More recently, we decided to support ACV's development with ads.

Having ads in ACV will allow us to commit to its continued development. This will translate to improvements to existing features, the inclusion of much requested new features, support for the broad spectrum of Android devices, more frequent updates and better community management.

ACV's core feature is reading comics. So rest assured that ads will never interrupt nor disrupt the reading experience.

Who knows? i have a couple of questions about that

1st. wat is a long tap? i dont under stand wat that means really lol

If you have DCV already installed in your Android device and want to test this beta, you will need to uninstall it first. Then just browse to this page with your device and click over the 1.4 beta download link.

You might need to allow installing from external sources too. For this, ensure that Settings -> Applications -> Unknown Sources is ticked.

I would like to know if you are currently working on support for ICS? I loved this app on my old HTC Desire, and currently switched to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is running ICS. Unfortunately I can't access the settings for Droid Comic Viewer. When I view the settings, everything just looks blank.
